what we do
CL Financial, LLC (CLF) specializes in government contract accounting, accounting systems consulting, and bookkeeping. We are servicing all states throughout the United States.
Accounting services
CLF offers controller oversite service. This service includes a full scale review of all the financial records including the oversite of the balance sheet, income statement, and the detailed transactions of all accounts. The oversite of the balance sheet consists of a complete analysis of all the balance sheet accounts to determine the accuracy of the balances. The income statement review process consists of reviewing the detail postings to the income statement to ascertain that all the transactions/entries are properly classified.
Bookkeeping services
Most small businesses do not have the internal nor the financial resources to staff an accounting department. Therefore, outsourcing your accounting process will allow management to do what they do best....market the company and manage their employees. So leave the accounting to us and take the steps required to make your business successful.
Goverment Contractor Consulting
CLF offers government contracting services including preparation of incurred cost submissions, indirect rate calculations, assistance with DCAA audits (indirect/provisional rate audits, accounting systems audits, etc.), set-up of government contracting indirect cost pools, labor distribution, and job costing in the accounting system, managing indirect (fringe, overhead (client/gov't site), subcontractor/material handling, and G&A) costs, and forward pricing models to achieve proper pricing on proposals. With over 140+ DCAA accounting system audits passed on DCAA's initial visit with no deficiencies, you can rely on our expertise to have your accounting system approved by DCAA.
We recommend that government contractors use QuickBooks up until approximately $25 million in revenue. With the correct technology in place, QuickBooks can be used to upwards of $50+ million in revenue and still remain DCAA compliant. QuickBooks, if set up correctly, can pass any DCAA accounting system audit, billing system audit and handle all types of contracts (CPFF, CPAF, T&M, Fixed Priced, etc.). QuickBooks, supplemented with Excel schedules to calculate the actual indirect rates and contract profitability, is the complete package for government contractors.
